Bangka Tengah Regency Representatives Visit YSU to Discuss Cooperation on Teacher Development

Friday (21/2/2015), the representatives of Bangka Tengah Government which was led by its regent, Erzaldy Rosman, M.M., met YSU leaders to discuss the cooperation development of vocational teacher’s competence.
They were welcomed by the Vice Rector for Students and Alumni Affairs, Prof. Dr. Sumaryanto, M.Kes., the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, the Expert Staffs of Vice Rector I and IV. “YSU commits to provide service in cooperation cooperation programs for its partners. This visit proves that Bangka Tengah Regency has a big commitment in improving education,” Prof. Dr. Sumaryanto, M.Kes. said.
Prior to this, Principals’ Work Forum of Bangka (MKKS) has visited YSU to pioneer the cooperation between the two instutions. “We hope that through the cooperation, products for supporting education will be produced. It can be a bicycle motor which can be used by the students and garbage carrier employees,” said Erzaldi Rosman, M.M. He added that the copyright of the product can be developed in vocational schools in Bangka Tengah.
He hoped that the cooperation can be started in the end of this year due to the 2016 regent fund allocation scheme. It is also hoped that aftern an MoU is signed, an MoA will be generated.
During the discussion, the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Dr. Mochamad Bruri Triyono, M.Pd., expressed his optimism for the cooperation. “The competence development can be implemented through producing vocational products in cooperation with the Ministry of Research and Technology, and Higher Education. The Faculty of Engineering also commits to such cooperation,” he said.
