A closing ceremony of credit transfer programs was conducted in the Faculty of Languages and Arts on Wednesday, June 4^th  2014. Students of credit transfer program in the Faculty of Languages and Arts of Yogyakarta State University have completed program. The participating students who joined the program for one semester, are from Yunnan University of Nationalities, Guangdong University of Foreign Studies, and Fontys University of Applied Science.

In this closing ceremony, students performed an Indonesian traditional drama, some dances, popular Indonesian, English and Chinese songs, poetry readings and also played Indonesian traditional musical instrument, Angklung. Mentoring students also took part in the performances such as Indonesian traditional dance, Jathilan and Angklung performance.

Dr. Widyastuti Purbani, M.A., Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, said that the credit transfer program was the first one to be organized by the Faculty.

During their credit transfer program, the students from Yunnan University of Nationalities and Guangdong University of Foreign Studies learned Bahasa Indonesia, whereas students from Fontys University of Applied Science had their program focused on Teaching English for Young Learners and did teaching practices in some elementary schools in Yogyakarta.
