FIKK UNY received a visit from two sports professors from the University of Seville, Spain, as part of a sports development cooperation agenda sponsored by Erasmus. Professor Francis Ries, Ph.D. and Professor Luis Carrasco Paez, Ph.D. served as guest lecturers at the Department of Physical Education (POR) and the Department of Physical Science (IK), and in the academic cooperation development agenda from 8 - 15 March 2023.

Both were received by the FIKK UNY leadership on Thursday, 9 March 2023 and engaged in intensive discussions regarding possible academic cooperation between the two universities, including joint supervision, international double degree programs, academic staff mobility (inbound & outbound), as well as joint publications and research.

On the same day, a cooperation discussion was held involving lecturers from the Department of Physical Education (POR), the Department of Physical Science (IK), and the Department of Physical Education for Elementary School (PJSD). Francis and Luis presented their respective fields of expertise as well as several potential areas of cooperation, including projects they had worked on together with colleagues at FBSB UNY under the Erasmus funding scheme. The lecturers were enthusiastic about the discussion, and the presentations provided insights into potential collaborations for research, journal article writing, and joint publications.

The interested lecturers who wish to follow up on academic collaboration with the two professors will engage in intensive communication with them.
