Minister of Research, Technology and Higher Education of the Republic of Indonesia, Prof. Drs. H. Muhammad Nasir, M.Si, Ak, Ph.D, CA officially inaugurated Prof. Dr. Sutrisna Wibawa, M.Pd as the Rector Yogyakarta State University from 2017 to 2021. Inauguration ceremony was held on Wednesday, March 23, 2017 at 13:30 pm in the Auditorium Building, 2nd Floor, Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education, Sudirman Street, Senayan, Jakarta.
In his speech, the Minister expressed his direction directly that universities must apply the principles of good governance in the management of the institution. Then also, the importance of how to create a good university governance ranging from the issue of transparency, fairness, accountability and responsibility must be complied, said Nasir.
Also added in his speech "the management of good governance should not be abandoned, and transparency should be enacted. Because through good governance, it will provide an example for the community and the public", said M. Nasir.
The inauguration activity was in conjunction with the inauguration of other six officials, namely: the Rektor of ISI Denpasar, University of Borneo Tarakan, Director of the State Agricultural Polytechnic Pangkajene Islands, Coordinator of Kopertis Region IV, Coordinator of Kopertis Region XII and Coordinator of Kopertis Region XIV.
Attending the inauguration ceremony, among others were; Echelon 1 and 2 in the background of Kemenristekdikti, Governor of North Borneo, Local Officials from West Java, Maluku, North Maluku, Papua and West Papua. Also present at the invitation of YSU among other were the Senate, Vice-Rectors, Deans and Officials of YSU.
The inauguration continued with the handover and delivery of the final memorandum tenure of Prof. Dr. Rochmat Wahab, M. Pd, MA to Prof. Dr. Sutrisna Wibawa, M.Pd. witnessed by the Minister of Research, Technology and Higher Education of the Republic of Indonesia, Prof. Drs. H. Muhammad Nasir, M.Si, Ak, Ph.D, CA.
Yogyakarta State University Rector 2017-2021 period was chosen through voting session held behind closed doors in the Main Courtroom, Thursday (29/12). Assembly voting was attended by 84 members of the Senate.- (Arif)
