Faculty of Technical and Vocational Education Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM) sent 16 students in teaching training programs in Yogyakarta under the coordination of the Faculty of Engineering, Yogyakarta State University. The sixteen students were divided into three groups to teach in SLTP I Depok, SMK Negeri 2 Depok and SMK Negeri 2 Yogyakarta.

International Mobility Program-Teaching Practice took place from August 7, 2016 until September 7, 2016. This program was closed on September 1, 2016 in Courtroom of FE, YSU, attended by the representatives of UTHM, Prof. Madya Dr. Abdul Rasid bin Abdul Razzaq, Prof. Madya Dr. Badaruddin Bin Ibrahim, the representatives of the schools and the officials of FE YSU, and The head of the Office of International Affairs and Partnerships, YSU.

Wan Mohd Faizal, one of the participants of UTHM described his happiness of having the opportunity and the valuable experience of teaching and living in Yogyakarta for almost a month. "It's become an invaluable experience and so much fun that we do not only learn about teaching but also about the life of society," said Wan Mohd Faizal.

"For example we learned the value of discipline where in the morning we had to catch a bus, there is no excuse to be late, because at 7:00 proper, school gate is closed," he recalled.

"Coming home from school, were we not able to take it easy because the students here are smart-intelligent that before teaching, the preparation of teaching materials should be well arranged," he added.

"We also had the opportunity to visit historical places in Yogyakarta, thus we learned a bit about the culture of the noble people of Jogja," he added.

In the end, we realized that the story if people of Jogja are friendly and courteous is true, "he concluded.

Prof. Madya Dr. Abdul Rasid bin Abdul Razzaq, in his speech, highly appreciated the facilities and good cooperation with YSU especially the Faculty of Engineering. "Cooperation with YSU has existed for a long time and I see this collaboration as productive, because i a lot of programs have been running well," said the Deputy Dean for Academic & Antarabangsa Faculty of Technical and Vocational Education Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM).

Prof. Madya Dr. Abdul Rasid bin Abdul Razzaq added that in the future, this greater collaboration will continue to be encouraged, "As we enter the era of the ASEAN Economic Community, this kind of synergy is so important to foster understanding between the peoples of South-East Asia," he added.

The Dean of FE, Dr. Widarto said that students from UTHM for Yogyakarta are trained to be independent. "We prepared accommodation for the students and then guided them to use public transportation in the area of ​​Yogyakarta, after that they are 'off' to mingle and interact with the community," said the Dean.
