Rector of Yogyakarta State University, Prof. Rochmat Wahab, M.Pd., M.A., and Regent of Central Bangka, Erzaldi Rosman, M.M., signed the MoU on Thursday (18/6/2015). The MoU signing was witnessed by Minister of Research, Technology and Higher Education of the Republic of Indonesia, Muhammad Nasir. In the subsequent ocassion, two letters of cooperation agreement were also signed by the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, Drs. Wardan Suyanto, Ed.D., the Head of Education Department of Central Bangka, Drs. Sugianto, and the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Dr. Bruri Triyono, M.Pd.

“This agreement serves as the basis to improve the quality of education, human resource development and green technology in Bangka Tengah Regency,” said Prof. Rochmat Wahab, M.Pd., M.A.

Erzaldi Roesman, M.M. said that the area of this cooperation consists of the education program to support the development of technological and non-technological science, especially for Vocational Schools in Central Bangka and community service programs in this regency. In addition, the cooperation is also on the bachelor degree cooperation program for the students of Central Bangka and the implementation of Electrical Motorcycle.

“We will send our students to study in YSU either for Bachelor or Master Degree,” he said.

Meanwhile, the community service program will involve YSU students to run Teaching Practice and Community Service in Vocational Schools in Central Bangka.
