Nissan Motor Indonesia Ltd. endows YSU Faculty of Engineering with a Nissan Juke which is provided for students’ practice at the Automotive Engineering Education Study Program. (Thursday, July 2nd 2015)
Head of Communication NMI, R.I. Hana Maharani, said that the donation is aimed at improving education quality in Indonesia, and is part of Nissan Motor Indonesia CSR programs for education.
“We want to be part of fullfling demands for competent technicians in the future. The cars will be used for students’ practice especially for providing them with new knowledge in automotive technology,” Hana added.
YSU Rector, Prof. Rochmat Wahab, M.Pd., M.A. said that new, modern car technology needs to be provided for students in the teaching and learning process. “We hope that the students will be more motivated to learn and enhance their knowledge. It is expected that there will be a synergy between knowledge development and the industry,”Rochmat ended.
This additional facility will also support YSU teachers and students at the Automotive Engineering Department to progressively develop green car and hybrid car technologies with a reference to the latest technology.
