After gaining remarkable achievements in the International Student Green Competition in South Korea, May 2014, Garuda UNY Racing Team (GURT) is preparing for the same competition in 2015.
On Wednesday (18/2/2015), ten students from the team managed their time effectively to have their formula suspension done in order to reach maximum performance in May.
After improving the designs, they are perfecting two components of the first generation car suspension, i.e. bellcrank and double A with Push Rod.
The GURT hybrid technology is the first technology developed by students in Indonesia. It synchronizes electrical power and gasoline to produce maximum car speed. The second generation of the hybrid car is predicted to gain better performance than the previous generation.
This hybrid formula employs the same engine, that is Honda Vario Matic engine, sponsored by Astra Honda Motor Ltd.
After having their suspension done, other components will be prepared soon as the 2015 International Student Green Car Competition is only two and a half months ahead. (yoko)
