Yogyakarta State University (YSU) welcomed the visitation from one of partners, namely Institute of Teaching and Higher Education (STKIP PGRI) Banjarmasin on Thursday (19/5/2016). The visit was a follow-up of the MoU signing in March in Banjarmasin. This visit was led by Dr. H. Abidinsyah, M.Pd., as the Rector of STKIP PGRI Banjarmasin, together with Vice Rector I, Journal Manager, Head of Mathematics Education, Head of English Education, and Head of the Library.

"STKIP PGRI Banjarmasin functions as YSU, namely producing prospective teachers. STKIP PGRI has six departments i.e. Mathematics Education, Biology, Indonesia and Regional Languages and Literatures, English Education, Dance, and Computer Engineering ", says Dr. h. Abidinsyah, M. Pd. In his speech, he also explained the goal of the visit was to discuss some points: library access, implementation of the TOEFL test, cooperation on national and international conference in providing speakers, partner for journals, joint research, internships and academic staff and lecturers.

Attending the agenda were Vice Rector of Yogyakarta State University, Head of the LPPM (Center for Community Service and Development), Director of the Office of International Affairs and Partnerships (OIAP), Head of the library, and Secretary to Language Development Center YSU.Dr.rer.nat as the Vice Rector IV YSU appreciated and showed gratitude for the visit. Answer the problems expressed by Dr. h. Abidinsyah, M. Pd.

He confirmed YSU readiness to help develop cooperation in journals and Bestari partners, since there is already clarity for the topic. Responding to a question about the journal, Dr. Suyanta, M.Si as the Head of LPPM described some steps to accredit journals. In relation to cooperation in the form of providing speakers for national and international conference, Dr.-Ing Satoto, E. Nayono in his capacity as the Director of OIAP revealed ‘It might be easier to do if there is a special division in STKIP BAnjarmasin that handles International activities ". Ari Purnawan, M.Pd.,M.A. representing the Head of P2B UNY, added that as an alternative to the implementation of the TOEFL test, STKIP and UNY PGRI Banjarmasin can develop a special joint test.
