Training of BIPA Program for OIAP and UIAP Staff

YSU held a Training of BIPA Program for OIAP Staff (Indonesian Language and Culture Course for Foreigners) from 9 to 13 July 2015 at Office of International Affairs and Partnership. It was opened by the director of Office of International Affairs and Partnership of YSU, Dr.-Ing. Satoto E. Nayono, M.Eng., M.Sc. It aims at optimizing YSU citizens to be BIPA teachers  YSU has recently developed curriculum.      

“The training aims at embracing the potential YSU citizens to be BIPA teachers, especially OIAP and UIAP staff as the participants,” he said in his speech.

During the three-day-training, the participants were provided by numerous materials of BIPA, i.e. BIPA Teacher Methodology, Cross Cultural Understanding in BIPA and various BIPA courses, namely Reading, Listening, Speaking, Grammar, and Writing. In addition, they were provided by BIPA Lesson Plan and BIPA Teaching Evaluation.

The participants were practiced Microteaching in the third day. They were divided into three classes, namely Basic class, Intermediate class, and Advance class. The Microteaching class was assessed by three experienced BIPA teachers.  

To close, Retna Hidayah, Ph.D., delivered her hopes of this training. “The training is over. However, our work is not over yet,” she said. She also congratulated all participants for completing the training and hoped that they are able to contobrute progressively to BIPA of YSU. (Yuhda)
