The Training in English Communication Competence for Officers of Units of International Affairs and Partnerships

YSU held the The Training in English Communication Competence for Officers of Units of International Affairs and Partnerships
to support YSU effort to be a World Class Education University from 15 to 19 and 22 June 2015 at Institute of Educational Development and Quality Assurance Building.

The training consisted of 41 sessions and was joined by 48 officers of Unit of International Affairs and Partnerships of faculties, institutes and the graduate school. It was opened by Vice Rector for Cooperation and Partnership Affairs, Prof. Suwarsih Madya, Ph.D. “This training plays a pivotal role as YSU’s attraction to bring more partners to YSU,” she said.

She added that the training is hoped to provide valuable understanding that communication is not only the matter of message but also the attitude towards the cooperation partners.

The training focused on several materials for supporting international cooperation services such as meeting a guest, handling a meeting, telephoning, participating in a meeting, discussing, following up a meeting, eating out, MoU and business letter. In addition, participants learnt how to make a good correspondence with international partners. During the training, the participants also did simulations and role plays.
