Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris, Malaysia Students Visit YSU Faculty of Sport Sciences

(Friday, April 3rd 2015) The Faculty of Sport Sciences welcomed 35 students of Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris, Malaysia. These students joined a visit and discussion to share their thoughts and experience with students at the Faculty of Sport Sciences. The faculty students participating in this discussion are also active members of student organizations in the faculty.
The Vice Dean for General and Financial Affairs, Drs. Sumarjo, M.Kes. warmly welcomed the guests in his opening speech. “The Faculty is open to collaborate in academic programs and students mobility. We hope that through this visit and discussion, YSU and UPSI students are able to share their ideas and experience in academic life and organizational activities,” he said.
The visiting lecturer from UPSI gave his speech in the opening of the discussion. “We really appreciate the warm welcome from the Faculty of Sport Sciences. We hope that the future collaboration will not only involve the faculty members but also the students,” he said.
During the discussion, the students share their experience in terms of academic life, organizational activities, and campus life in both universities. Their shared interest was revealed that is activities for community empowerment. It is hoped that the students can start to collaborate in the near future.
After the discussion, the representatives of UPSI and YSU students joined a futsal friendly match at YSU Sport Hall.
