About 60% of FMIPA UNY's lecturers are indexed by Scopus. The highest indexed article on Scopus at UNY comes from FMIPA, which is around 70%. And at FMIPA from the most Chemistry Education Department.

This was conveyed by the Dean of FMIPA UNY, Dr. Hartono when receiving assessors from the National Higher Education Accreditation Board (BAN PT), Wednesday 10/10/18 at the FMIPA courtroom. The accredited study program is Chemistry Education Study Program, which was previously accredited A. The assessors were Dr. Muktiningsih, M.Sc., from Jakarta State University and Prof. Dr. Muhammad Nurdin, M.Sc., from Halu Oleo University.

Further said, the Rector of UNY strongly encouraged all lecturers to publish their articles in scopus indexed journals and reputable international journals. Thus the results of research from UNY lecturers are increasingly recognized for their quality. The Chancellor also provides incentives for articles entering international journals and accredited journals.

From the results of the research, there have been many lecturer research results that are used as teaching materials so as to increase students' insight into the latest research that continues to grow.

In another part, the Dean explained that FMIPA UNY has collaborated with several foreign partner universities such as UPSI, UPM, Yala Rajabhat University, Mahidol University, Prince of Songkla University, etc.

"The form of cooperation includes sit-in programs, credit transfers, joint research, seminars, etc. Even recently the Chemistry Education Department held an international seminar in collaboration with UPSI Malaysia and the Indonesian Chemical Association with one of the keynote speakers from UPSI ", he said.

In the framework of internationalization of study programs, currently the Chemistry Education Study Program is also preparing for international standard certification from the ASEAN University Network-Quality Assurance (AUN-QA).
