On 12 - 16 August 2019 UNY Robotics team participated on Roboworld Cup and Summit of  the Federation of International Robot-Sports Association (FIRA) in the city of Changwon, South Korea. The event was attended by several major countries including China, Canada, South Korea and Russia. FIRA is a robot sports competition with several categories namely FIRA Robosot, FIRA Hurocup, FIRA Androsot, FIRA Air, and FIRA Challenge which are well known internationally. UNY sent two teams to join the Robosot and Hurocup categories. The Mobo-evo and Aros teams were delegates from UNY to join the Robosot and Hurocup categories.

In the Robosot category, Mobo-evo team won 1st place in the Robosot Soccer Competition with a score of 6 for Mobo-evo and a score of 4 for TKU from Taiwan, 1st place for Localization Challenge and 3rd place for Passing Challenge. The Hurocup category won 2nd place in Triple Jump reaching a distance of 73 cm and 2nd place on Sprint Hurocup. "I did not expect that (UNY) first participation will earn winning," said Jacky Baltes as President of FIRA (16/8).

Even though the team returned home with 5 awards, UNY Robotics Team had experienced several problems. For Mobo-evo robosot team, the ball used in the competition was bigger and different from the ball had been prepared before. Fortunately, this problem solved accordingly. Chrisna, the AROS Team Leader admitted that uneven fields on the sprint line and robot error are problems that faced by the team during the competition. This competition give valuable experience for the team who aim to take part on more international competitions.

"Five awards won by the UNY Robotics team were presented for the 74th celebration of Indonesia Independence," said Julizar as Chairperson of UNY Robotics Team. (Julizar HW)
