Monica Anselia Shinta Sulistyo from Mathematics Edducation Study Program has participated in both international teaching program and credit transfer. She has completed the teaching practice program at Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra, Kulai, Malaysia. She taught 10th and 11th grade subjects in Mathematics. It is interesting to know that she also got the chance to teach Javanese language. "While teaching about a month there is something surprising that children there love it and memorize Indonesian dangdut songs that are being hit at that time,’Kangen '," Monica said.

Monica also attended a credit transfer program at Khon Kaen University, Thailand for one semester. Monica revealed that learning there uses more Tagalog language than English.

"I asked the lecturers and students there who could speak English in learning and doing assignments. For learning there every half semester after the theory is continued with practicum, "continued Monica, who aspires to study for master degree abroad.

Meanwhile, Andyta Ma’rifatul Usnia from Science Education Study Program had International Teaching practice Program in Philippines for a month. At Benguet State University secondary laboratory school, Andyta teaches science in 9th grade using English.

"For Mathematics and Natural Sciences, learning is already in English while others use Tagalog Language," she said.

It was great to know that during the program, she met 10 Indonesian from several universities in Indonesia. All of them stayed at the Benguet State University dormitory.

“Food is the problem that I have there. It's hard to find halal food. So it will be better to cook the food yourself. Cold temperature-around 15°C- and frequent storm and rain is the next challenges that I have. I wear jacket when I teach. While it is common for my students to wear double jacket. They also often bring umbrella and boots  because of the frequent rainy days. If the weather forecast inform about potential storm, the school will be closed and set into cultural exchange events in the campus, "she said.(witono)
