LPPM Scientific Publication and Periodical Center (PPBI) Yogyakarta State University held a Workshop Register Web of Science Jurnal UNY located at Grand Ambarukmo Hotel Yogyakarta on Saturday, October 30, 2021. The workshop was started with the greetings by Prof. Dr. Samsul Hadi, M.Pd., M.T as the chairman of the meeting at 09.00 a.m. The agenda was thus followed by the Workshop Register Web of Science Journal UNY and attended by UNY lecturers.

In 2021, UNY has 89 journals in 7 faculties, 2 Institutions, and Postgraduates, of which as of March 2021, 55 of them have been nationally accredited or indexed sinta (Science and Technology Index). Of the 55 journals that have been accredited, 1 journal is ranked 1st and indexed by Scopus, 15 journals are ranked 2, 18 journals are ranked 3, 13 journals are ranked 4th, and 8 journals are ranked 5. The journals that have not been accredited reached 34 in total. To realize UNY's vision to become a world-class university, the Center for Scientific Publications and Periodicals has a vital role in encouraging UNY journals to improve the quality of their management towards indexing SCOPUS and Web of Science (WoS) and those that have not been licensed to be accredited immediately.

The workshop was held both offline and online with Eko Pramudya Laksana from Malang State University as the speaker and Prof. Heri Retnawati as the moderator. This agenda aimed to provide guidance on how the journals can be submitted and indexed by SCOPUS and Web of Science (WoS) for the UNY academic community, Eko Pramudya explained. The agenda was followed by Questions and Answers which ended at 1 pm. The online workshop then continued. (Heri P, Tj. Dev)
