YSU exhibited its EVO (Electric Vehicle Oddsey) and GIC (Garuda Inspection Car) at the Vredeburg Fortress Museum ICT Camp and Edu Fair on May 27th-28th 2015 in Yogyakarta. The event was held by the Educational Technology Communication Council under the theme ‘Be Smart and Creative with ICT’.
The exhibition was attended by around 500 hundreds visitors consisting of elementary school pupils, Junior high school students, Senior High School Students, university students and school teachers.
In this exhibition, both cars are exhibited because of the creativity of students to develop the cars. YSU EVO is developed by the students at the Faculty of Engineering and the team have won some categories in the 2013 and 2014 International Student Green Car Competition. Meanwhile, the Garuda Inspection Car is also developed by the students for inspection activities in YSU faculties.
The inspection car uses sollar cells, electric motor BLDC with 6000 watt power, steel tube triangular frame, fiberglass composite body, solar cells additional power, rear wheel drive, racj pinion steering, independent suspension and double seats.
