Yogyakarta State University was awarded the second runner up of 2015 Public Relation Media Award for National Category of Institution Profile. The winner and runner up are The Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) and Secretariat State Information Centers. The annual award was held by Bakohumas (Public Relation Coordinating Board or Badan Koordinasi Kehumasan) which is a coordination forum of state institutions’ public relation center.

The event was opened by the Minister of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform and was participated by more than 142 state institutions. Besides gaining the second runner up award, Yogyakarta State University was nominated in Main Merchandise category. The juries were Subagio, M.S. (Expert Staff of General Director of Public Information and Communication Ministry of Communication and Information), Ibnu Hamad (Academics), Usman Kansong (Media Indonesia), Dadang Rahmat (the Head of Indonesian Broadcasting Commission), and Ahmed Kurnia (InfoPublik Portal)

Besides Public Relation Media Award, the committee also held Bakohumas Forum Discussion, Community Information Group and Information and Communication Service Exhibition, Public Performance Media Festival, Public Performance Media Workshop, Community Information Group Workshop. Bakohumas Forum Discussion discussed the theme “Government Public Relations (GPR) Application through Public Relation and Community to Prompt Mental Revolusion of Indonesia”.
