YSU at RITECH Expo 2015

Yogyakarta State University (YSU) participated in Ritech Expo 2015 held by Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education from 7-10 August 2015 at Senayan East Park, Jakarta. The Expo is one of the agendas of the Day of National Technology Resurgence (HAKTEKNAS) participated by 83 institutions in 118 booths with the theme “Science and Technology Innovation for the competitiveness of the nation” (sub theme: Food, Energy, and Maritime).   

Director of Office of International Affairs and Partnerships (OIAP), Dr.-Ing. Satoto Endar Nayono, M.Sc. said that it YSU commits to push forward sustainable innovation development. “It is our commitment to develop our product through sustainable research for the best technology,” he said.

At this expo, YSU sent a staff of Domestic Affairs, a public relation staff of the Faculty of Languages and Arts, and several members of Electric Car Team.

YSU exhibited its leading products, namely hubrid car, merchant electrical vehicel, electrical batik stove, Indonesian mask introduction application, and various food from fishery matters. In addition, YSU exhibited its leading works through catalogue, leaflet, flyer and sticker.

The expo brought positive impact to YSU. A digital printing company from Jakarta proposed a sponsorship cooperation for Electrical Car by giving autodesk application. 

YSU booth was also visited by Ministry of Law and Human Rights representative who said about the cooperation program in otomotive field soon.

The committee chief of Hakteknas, Dr. Muhamad Dimyati, M.Sc., said that RITECH Expo 2015 is the holy day for Indonesian researchers and engineers. “It is our time to show our remarkable step called innovation and some of you has passed technological readiness step on the seventh level,” he said.  

Meanwhile, Minister of Research, Technology and Higher Education, Prof. Mohamad Nasir, Ph.D., in her welcoming speech said that technology is pivotal for dignity of nation. “It [dignity of nation] can be seen from how far the technology is used by certain nation. The expo is hoped to provide inspiration for youth to invent new innovation,” he said.

When visiting YSU booth, Muhammad Nasir said that he heard about YSU innovation and achievement of YSU Hybrid Car in International Competition in Korea. “I heard about it. I hope YSU Hybrid Car achieves the best performance there,” he added. (hryo)
