YSU STUDENTS GAIN VICTORY IN Line Follower Robotic Competition 2015 IN PALEMBANG, South Sumatra

Electronic Technology Education students of YSU secured first and third positions in Line Follower Robotic Competition in Pekan Raya Elektro Nasional or National Electronics Week (PREN) in Palembang, March 31st, 2015. YSU sent two teams to Palembang, namely Tirek Himanika 1 and Tirek Himanika 2.

Tirek Himanika 1 consisted of Muhamad Agus Satrio (Electronics Engineering (Diploma) Study Program) and Ibrahim Galih Nasa (Electronic Technology Education Study Program), whereas Tirek Himanika 2 consisted of Akbar Aliyavi (Electronic Technology Education Study Program), Antonius Bondan Pramana (Electronics Engineering (Diploma) Study Program) and Hernawan Prabowo (Electronic Technology Education Study Program).

PREN is an annual electronics competition held by the Student Organization of Electronics Study Program of Sriwijaya State Polytechnic. Line Follower Robotic Competition is one of the competitions which score the participants’ line follower robot speed, distance and aesthetic appearance.

“The participants and the audiences were so enthusiastic. We had to adapt to local culture there. After this achievement, we hope that Line Follower technology will be able to be a special product of our study program,” Akbar Aliyayi said. (afr)
