Even though students have used an online learning system, there are still many students who have difficulty learning. The Student Executive Board of Faculty of Natural Sciences UNY initiated the MIPA Learning Volunteer (RBM) program to answer this problem. This program help elementary to high school students or equivalent who have learning difficulties during the pandemic by providing consultations on assignments or poorly understood materials via Whatsapp. The subjects offered are Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Science, and English.

The RMB #2 2021 program is held for three months (September-December). It has been supported by 37 tutors who are active students of the Faculty of Natural Sciences UNY and approximately 500 students from various regions in Indonesia.

“I feel happy and grateful because I can join the 11th-grade Chemistry RBM group. Through this group, I have been helped in solving difficult questions. There are also good, friendly, and super cool tutors here. I can obtain a lot of knowledge, and I had nothing to lose when I joined the RBM group. Thank you very much to the tutors; I hope that RBM can continue in the future,” said Radian Elok, one of the RBM students from SMAN 1 Pakem, Yogyakarta.
