We still feel the hustle and bustle of the Industrial Revolution 4.0, which accompanied the development of an era of disruption. Various responses to the era of the Industrial Revolution 4.0 and the era of disruption have ticked various discussions both in the academic and industrial spheres. Now we are amazed by the emergence of Society 5.0.

The concept of Society 5.0 actually has been rolling for quite a long time. This concept appears in the "Basic Policy on Economic and Financial Management and Reform 2016," which is a core part of the strategic plan adopted by the Japanese cabinet in January 2016. The concept of the Society 5.0 was adopted by the Japanese government in anticipation of global trends as a result of the emergence of the Industrial Revolution 4.0. Society 5.0 or society 5.0 is a natural thing that must have happened due to the emergence of the Industrial Revolution 4.0. The 4.0 Industrial Revolution has given birth to various innovations in the industrial world as well as society in general.

Society 5.0 is the answer to the challenges that arise as a result of the Industrial Revolution 4.0 era which is accompanied by disruption which is characterized by a volatile world, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity. This was stated by UNY Rector, Sutrisna Wibawa, in the graduation ceremony for Doctoral, Masters, Bachelor and Diploma graduates at UNY GOR Saturday (23/2). The Rector further explained that the community 5.0 is a community that can solve various social challenges and problems by utilizing various innovations born in the era of industrial revolution 4.0 such as the Internet of Thing, big data, artificial intelligence, robots, and various sophisticated machines. Because of these various abilities, society 5.0 is also referred to as the Smart Society, or a smart society.

"Graduates of higher education must always develop science and prepare to face the great challenges that have occurred in the era of Industrial Revolution 4.0 and society 5.0 today," said the Chancellor. "You must pay close attention to the importance of mastering technology, digital technology, and foreign languages". In responding to these changes, graduates must have an open mindset for change, an adaptive mindset, which is often called a growth mindset. Humans with growth mindset always view achievement as a result of effort and learning outcomes, and not solely because of their talents and destiny. Humans with a growth mindset see themselves as able to achieve anything as long as they want to try and learn. This kind of attitude will be able to grow the ability to adapt to change and be able to learn and achieve whatever we want.

On this graduation period, there has been 1.010 UNY graduates. From the graduate program, there are 9 doctoral graduates and 195 master graduates. For the undergraduate program, there are 791 bachelor program graduates and 15 diploma program graduates. It is interesting to note that 294 graduates (29.11%) earn cum laude acknowledgement, consisting of 3 doctoral graduates, 57 master graduates, 230 bachelor graduates and 4 diploma graduates. (Dedy)
