Developing Learning Analytics Framework Based on Self-Regulated Learning Principle for MOOCs

YSU’s graduate school student of educational technology, Hartoto dan Sella Mawarni, presented their work entitled Developing Learning Analytics Framework Based on Self-Regulated Learning Principle for MOOCs at the Educational Technology World Conference (ETWC) 2016 on 31 July to 4 August 2016 in Bali. The work presented by Hartoto and Sella discussed learning analytics and MOOCs in order to develop and implement the framework in Indonesia.

With the theme of Educational Technology to Improve Quality and Access of Education for Prosperous Society, 2016 ETWC first held in Indonesia was attended by 300 participants from 14 countries. The keynote speakers at the seminar were Mike Spector (University of North Texas), Rob Branch (University of Georgia), Stephen Harmon (Georgia Institute of Technology), Johannes Cronje (Cape Peninsula University of Technology), and Marcus Childress (Baker University) , President Associations, Consultation: Association for Educational Communications and Technology (AECT), Kay Persichitte who attended the seminar stated that AECT Conference will be held in Las Vegas, Nevada on October 17 to 20 in 2016 and expects the participants of this seminar can attend the seminar as well.

ETWC 2016 also presents a distinctive culture of Bali in the form of dances such as dance Sekar Jagad, Ganesha Dance, Barong Dance, and Joged Bumbung dance shown on the evening gala. The output of the seminar can be accessed at seminars.unj.ac.id/etwc/. (ratnae)
