INTERNATIONAL COLLABORATION BETWEEN FSS YSU AND FSSK UPSI

On the move to comply with the vision of Faculty of Sport Science (FSS), Yogyakarta State University (YSU) is to be collaborative with institutions, both internal and external. This is realized in collaboration with a higher, Malaysian institution, namely Fakulti Sains Sukan dan Kejurulatihan, Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (FSSK UPSI) (16/2) in Main Meeting Room, GPLA FSS. The collaboration started with welcoming the visitation and discussion with the Fakulti related to credit transfer, student exchange, and teaching practice in Gunung Kidul, DIY.

A supervising lecturer from FSSK UPSI, Encik Mohd. Izwan bin Shahril argued the teaching practice to be held includes basic, intermediate, and advanced training, a friendly match of men futsal, and women volly. “We are glad and thankful to the warm acceptance by FSS YSU,” he stated.

The Dean of FSSK UPSI, Prof. Madya Dr. Julismah bt. Jani, proposed partnership with FSS YSU. “In addition to accompanying our students, in this occasion, we want to offer partnership, namely reduction of tuition fee for graduate and Ph.D program in FSSK UPSI to civitas academica of FSS YSU”, he ascertained.

Vice Dean III of FSS YSU, Drs. Amat Komari, M.Si. in his speach felt honoured with such partnership. He then introduced several study programs and facilities available in FSS YSU.

To begin the meeting, Gambyong dance from Solo was presented, performed by YSU students. The agenda also invited several functionaries in FSS YSU, including Vice Dean II, Vice Dean III, Head of Department and Secretary of Department, Expert Staff in the Student Division, Head of Administration Unit, and Head of Sub-divisions in FSS YSU. At the end, the performance of Pencak Silat of YSU closed the event. (Satya Perdana)
