On November 26, 2024, the Faculty of Education and Psychology  at Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) officially launched the "Sahabat Yogya Anti Bullying" (KOSAYO AB) community at the Abdullah Sigit Building. The event was attended by prominent figures including Prof. Dr. Farida Hanum, M.Si. (Chair of KOSAYO AB), Budi Santosa Asrori, S.E., M.Si. (Head of Yogyakarta's Youth and Sports Department), Prof. Dr. Suwarno, M.Pd. (Yogyakarta Education Council), and Dr. Hajar Pamadhi, M.A. (Vice Chair of the Yogyakarta Education Council), among others.

KOSAYO AB aims to prevent and reduce bullying through various initiatives, such as a digital platform for anti-bullying education, campaigns, and collaborations with schools, students, and communities. The goal is to raise awareness about the negative impacts of bullying, promote moral values, and create a safe, supportive environment.

During the event, a cooperation agreement was signed between FIPP (Prof. Dr. Nurtanio Agus Purwanto, M.Pd.) and the Yogyakarta Youth and Sports Department (Budi Santosa Asrori, S.E., M.Si.). Prof. Farida Hanum shared that since 2004, KOSAYO AB has launched four social media channels to spread anti-bullying messages.

Budi Santosa Asrori emphasized the importance of addressing bullying, especially in Yogyakarta, which is a student city with a large population of vulnerable youth. Prof. Suwarno expressed support for the community's efforts, while Dr. Hajar Pamadhi highlighted the ongoing collaboration with schools and police to address youth-related issues like bullying.

Prof. Nurtanio Agus Purwanto stressed the importance of equipping the younger generation with both hard and soft skills to ensure their readiness for the future.
