Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) showed its strong support for inclusivity by providing special assistance during the 2025 Computer-Based Written Examination for students with disabilities. Held at the Faculty of Economics’ IDB Building, UNY made sure that every student, regardless of their abilities, had the tools and support needed to take the exam comfortably and equally.

Among the participants was Luky Yulianto, a graduate from SLB Negeri Tamanwinangun Kebumen, who dreams of studying Special Education at UNY. Despite his visual impairment, Luky prepared through online tutoring. Another participant, Ani Lestari from MAN 2 Sleman, also prepared with online practice tests and hopes to study Communication Science at UNY.

Dr. Bambang Saptono, Head of UNY’s Admissions Unit, explained, "We supported 10 visually impaired, 5 physically disabled, and 13 hearing-impaired students this year, providing screen readers, special seating, and sign language interpreters." UNY’s preparations made sure that all students could focus on doing their best during the exam.

Through efforts like these, UNY proves that education should be accessible for everyone. By providing the right support and technology, the university helps students with disabilities take an important step toward achieving their dreams.
