Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta, through the International Service Office (KLI UNY), on Friday (28/10), received student visits from Management & Science University (MSU) Malaysia. Present to welcome from UNY was the Head of UNY KLI, Basikin, Ph.D. along with the Secretary of KLI, dr. Kartika Ratna Pertiwi and the staff. The group from MSU Malaysia who arrived in Yogyakarta on Tuesday (25/10) was 16 students accompanied by two staff.

The MSU students are to undergo the "Global Leadership Program International Pursuit of Experience Adventure and Knowledge Expedition," where this program invites students who are members of the "Klub Kembara" which is a club for students who love nature and like to do various activities. Outdoor activities include camping, mountain climbing, rock climbing, white water rafting, and various other outdoor activities.

Basikin Ph.D. said UNY was very proud to receive a visit from MSU Malaysia. He also hoped that in the future, the relationship between UNY and MSU Malaysia could be more closely intertwined after, previously, the two universities held several collaboration programs in the form of student exchange.

Goh Wen Jian, one of the staff from MSU Malaysia, said that the group of students from MSU Malaysia, before their visit to UNY, had succeeded in climbing Mount Merbabu. He also added that to introduce more about the city of Yogyakarta to students, his party will visit several batik industry centers and Kasongan Bantul tourist village.

On this occasion, the UNY Student Affairs team, represented by Nur Hidayanto Pancoro Setyo Putro, Ph.D., gave an exciting game for the students, namely the Bottle and Rope game. This game trains students to maintain cohesiveness in groups, avoid selfishness, and build mutual trust.

The event ended with the exchange of souvenirs and photos together. The MSU group then had UNY Campus Tour and visited the Education Museum. For the next destination, the team will do mangrove planting in the Baros Mangrove Forest, guided by Rio Christy Handiko, a lecturer in the Department of Biology Education at UNY.
