Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta(UNY) held the 2024 UNY Student Organization Achievement and Service Exhibition with the theme 'Building Excellent Young Synergy with Continuous Creativity and Innovation'. This event aims to provide information to new students about various campus organizations and services.

The exhibition was held in the courtyard of UNY Sports Building (GOR) on Wednesday, August 7, 2024, and was opened by the Rector of UNY, Prof. Dr. Sumaryanto, M.Kes., AIFO. In his speech, the Rector emphasized the importance of improving the quality of human resources at UNY. "With qualified human resources, the campus will continue to advance and civilize. Students who win gold medals will be given a prize of Rp 8 million, and other facilities will also be improved," he said.

After the opening, new students went around the GOR visiting various booths to get information. UNY service stands such as the Library, Student Affairs, Registration and Academic Affairs, Finance, Career and Alumni Development, Guidance and Counseling Service Unit (ULBK), and Information and Communication Technology Center (ICT) participated in this event.

Madha Taufikurachman from UNY ICT Center hopes that this service stand will help new students understand the services that can be accessed through Single Sign-On (SSO) using UNY email. "New students often ask about biodata changes and other services," he said.

To attract interest, each stand held various interesting activities. The Finance stand distributed door prizes with a lottery system, while Career and Alumni Services made an innovative 'My Career Notes' banner, a campaign of hopes and ideals about student careers in the next five years.

Aisya Cahyaning Saputri, a new student of the Regional Language Study Program, felt that she got a lot of information from UNY service stands. "I went to the ICT Center stand to get information about what media are available at UNY and ICT-related services. At the Counseling stand, we can share college and other problems, very interesting," she said.

The event was also attended by Trustees of Student Activity Units (UKM) and student organizations as well as leaders of UNY service centers, making this exhibition an educational and informative event for new UNY students. (Writer: Debi Pranata, Editor: Dedy, Tj.lak)
