UNY aims to boost further international collaboration. One of the efforts is by opening more opportunities for lecturer from UNY and respected partner university to have real research collaboration, sharing session and international lecturer exchange. For this reason, UNY supported Dwi Harsono, Ph.D, lecturer in the Department of Public administration UNY, to participate in visiting professor program. Dwi Harsono, Ph.D is visiting Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) Malaysia from 17 April to 3 May 2019. This visit has reciprocal approach because UiTM has sent Prof. Dr. Abdul Jalil Mohamed Ali to give lecturers at UNY on March 2019.
During the visit, Dwi Harsono, Ph.D planned to give lectures, meeting with the dean and management, sharing session with UiTM Lecturers on Governance Reform in Indonesia, and research meeting with research coordinator. Some of the lecture material presented by Dwi Harsono, Ph.D are “Ethics: Issues & Challenges in Indonesian Public Service”, “Public Management in Indonesia”, “Selection of Research Topic for Undergraduate in Public Administration & Tips of a good research proposal”, “Public Policy Making in Indonesia”, “Public Administration Reform in Indonesia”, and “Malaysia-Indonesia Relations”.
Head of International Affairs and Partnerships Unit from Faculty of Social Sciences UNY, Utami Dewi, explained that Visiting Professor Program could strengthen the relationship between UNY and UiTM. (Eko)
