AKSIMASA or Akuntansi Masuk Desa (Accounting Goes to Villages) comic for optimizing accounting standard in managing village fund has brought the delegates of YSU, namely Tegar Galang Anantha (Accounting 2014) and Safira Alma Choirunisa (Accounting 2013) to be the Second Runner Up in Accounting Writing Competition (AWC). The competition is part of 9th Hasanuddin Accounting Days (Hadays) in University of Hassanudin Makassar (11-15/2). This year, the event carried the topic of “Bringing Village Fund into Transparency and Accountability for Fair Allocation”. This becomes the foundation for the YSU delegates to conceptualize their ideas on the significance of standard for report writing and optimization of village fund through a comic entitled AKSIMASA. With this comic, village apparatus are expected to learn and implement the accounting standard in more convenient ways.
After going through paper selection, there were 10 papers considered eligible to become the finalists and the authors were invited to University of Hassanudin to present their work in front of 5 judges. In addition to YSU, there are several other universities that sent their delegates, namely Brawijaya University, International University of Batas, Sebelas Maret University, Samarinda State Polytechnic, and some others.
After presenting their paper, the finalists also attended a national seminar and field trip in Bantaeng regency. “ Interestingly, I wrote about the management of village fund in the paper. In practice, I was given a chance to visit Rappoa village in Bantaeng through the field trip,” says Tegar.
The event ended with welcoming dinner from regency authorities in Bantaeng while enjoying the beautiful scenery of Seruni beach. This occasion was also to accounce the winner of AWC 9th Hadays. The winner goes to the delegate of Widya Mandala Catholic University and the Runner up is from Brawijaya University, while YSU delegates are positioned the 3rd place. (tegar/fadhli)
