A team of Student Activity Unit of Research YSU has just recently grabbed prestigious achievement in national event, namely PPIPM FAIR in 2015 organized by Padang State University (PSU) on the 28th – 31st October, 2015. This is an annual event with the theme of "The Role of Students as Agents of Change in the Development of Sains, Technology, and Art in the Face of 2015 AEC". The YSU delegation successfully made resounding accomplishment, obtaining the 1st champion of Young Research Competition among the top ten delegates around Indonesia.
YSU sent two teams for Young Research Competition (YORECO). Sayidatul Maslahah (Special Education 2014) as the Chief of the first team, chaired some members, namely Arif Dwihantoro (Mathematics Education 2013) and Imam Budi Prasetyo (Special Education 2014) with Sukinah, M. Pd as the supervising lecturer. At the end, the team was annaunced the champion. In this occasion, YSU delegation presented their work entitled "Picabre (Playing Cards of Braille) in Optimizing Learning among the Blind Students in MTs Lb/A Yaketunis".
The second team of YSU was chaired by Shinta Hanifati (Physics Education) with the members namely Sayidatul Maslahah (Special Education 2014) and Rohmatul Khasanah (Civil Engineering Education) supervised by Rahayu Condro Murti, M.Si., a lecturer of Elementary School Teacher Education Department. In this event, the team got 4th Runner-up.
National Student Paper Competition (NSPC) team was chaired by Rifaldy Fajar (Mathematics, 2014) won the 3rd place . They presented their work entitled "Muffler Modifications with Filter Paper from Trembesi (Samanca saman) Leaves and Mahogany (Switenia macrophylla) Leaves Extract as Silencers, to Identify Smoke Thickness, and CO and Nox Pollutants in Automotive Exhaust Gas Emission".
In this case, the team admitted it is a pride (to get such achievement) because their rivals were strong, such as delegations from Brawijaya University, Sebelas Maret University, Gunung Jati Islamic State University University, Semarang State University, Gadjah Mada University, Tanjungpura State University, and Padang State University.
Thanks to hard work, teamwork, and the support of the parties concerned, YSU delegations were able to be crowned champion and the 4th runner up of YORECO and got the 3rd champion in NSPC. (Maslahah)
