The Student Affairs Division of UNY on Wednesday (4/9/2024) in the Main Session Room of the UNY Senate received a visit from PT Pertamina consisting of 3 people, namely Ms. Amelia, Ms. Dorothea, and Mr. Prasetyo. The purpose of the visit from Pertamina this time was to socialize the Pertamuda 2024 program: the largest student Business Idea Competition for startup startups.
The Head of Sub-Directorate of Student Affairs and Achievement of UNY, Rohmad Harjanto, 4 lecturer representatives and student representatives from each faculty were present to welcome the visit from Pertamina. The total number of students present was 47 people.
In her presentation, Dorothea explained that Pertamuda is a business idea competition held by PT Pertamina (Persero) for Indonesian students.
“Pertamuda also encourages startups in Indonesia to improve and provides opportunities for startups to meet access to capital,” she said.
He added that Pertamuda is a form of commitment from Pertamina to support the development of startups among Indonesia's young generation and a form of industry support on campus.
“Pertamina through Pertamuda is also a form of support for the BUMN ministry program to grow young entrepreneurs and strengthen synergies with campuses,” he said again.
Pertamuda also organizes competitions for students at the D1- S1 levels of universities and private companies which are divided into two categories, namely Energy Founder and Early stage startup.
For Energy Founder, Pertamuda curates founders candidates who have ideas that focus on problem solving in the energy sector. The selected Top 3 Energy Founders will receive coaching funds of Rp350,000,000.00 each, to realize their business ideas in the form of validation on paper (Problem Market on Paper).
Another category is Early Stage Startup, namely participants who already have a business idea that focuses on SDGS values and will get a coaching fund of Rp100,000,000.00, to prepare their business to enter the scale up stage and will get assistance worth Rp25,000,000.00, for each campus or incubator Top 3 Early Stage Startup.
This event was closed with a question and answer session and dialogue moderated directly by the Head of the Sub-Directorate of Student Affairs and Achievement of UNY, Rohmad Harjanto, the students who attended seemed enthusiastic about following the event until it was over.
