On February 22, 2025, Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) held its third graduation ceremony for the 2024/2025 academic year at the UNY Sports Arena. The event celebrated the achievements of 1,972 graduates, comprising 63 doctoral, 615 master's, 1,132 bachelor's, and 162 applied bachelor's degree recipients. The Faculty of Education and Psychology awarded the highest number of degrees, totaling 484 graduates.
In his address, UNY Rector Prof. Sumaryanto extended heartfelt congratulations to the graduates, who represent the diverse regions of Indonesia. He encouraged them to consider pursuing further studies at UNY, emphasizing the university's commitment to supporting academic advancement at both the master's and doctoral levels. The Rector officially entrusted the graduates to the Chairman of the UNY Alumni Association (IKA), Prof. Suyanto, expressing hope that they would honor their parents, nation, and alma mater.
The graduation ceremony featured the symbolic conferment of degrees, with Adhitya Febryanjani representing the graduating class. The event underscored UNY's dedication to fostering academic excellence and contributing to the nation's intellectual growth.
