Five adventurous students from Princeton University in the United States (Evfrosiniia Mozhaeva, Ahin Kim, Laine Claire Massick, Remzi Benjamin Abaci, Ryan Patrick Moores) embarked on a transformative journey to Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) to immerse themselves in the beauty of Bahasa Indonesia and the rich Javanese culture. Over the course of two terms (August, 2023 - April, 2024), these students delved deep into the intricacies of the language and savored the vibrant tapestry of traditions that define Indonesia.
Their academic pursuit was not confined to the four walls of a classroom; alongside their language studies, the Princeton students actively participated in an internship program with a local non-governmental organization in Yogyakarta.
