58TH ANNIVERSARY OF UNY'S FACULTY OF ENGINEERING: STUDENTS ACHIEVEMENT ON NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION

Student achievement is one of the indicators on UNY effort to improve creativity and innovation as a symbol of productivity. In past year, Faculty of Engineering students has won various achievement such as the Drivers' World Championship (DWC) in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, Stratford London, Formula Japan Student, Student Green Car Competition in Korea, World Art Camp Olympic General Champion in Philippines, Second Place International Roof Truss Design Competition, Second Place 2018 Achievement Student National Champion level, First Place PESUT National LKTI Samarinda, and many more.

UNY Faculty of Engineering continues the commitment to provide the widest possible opportunity for students to develop their abilities and creativity through academic and non-academic activities. "We will continue to facilitate so that each student is embedded with noble character as the next generation of the nation to take part and be creative for the advancement of Indonesian civilization," Dr. Ir. Widarto, M.Pd., Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Yogyakarta State University.
Amalia Rohmah, the second place winner of UNY 2018 Outstanding Students Award of Diploma degree, admitted that the positive competition vibe in daily lecture process has driven students to be an active and productive personality.

"During the competition, we also felt the real support from the campus and encouraged our enthusiasm in the competition process. As well as various forms of appreciation from the campus which certainly makes us more motivated in improving achievement, "he said. (hryo)
