On Friday (4/9/15), as many as 28 foreign students had a Campus Tour, which allows them to walk around several areas in YSU, while listening to some explanation from tutors regarding the name and function of each building, area, or facility in YSU. The aim is to make them get to know every part of this campus before starting to study in YSU. Those foreign students looked very enthusiastic when learning about some places in the campus, namely Rectorate building, library, Indonesian Educational Museum, Student Cooperation, Mujahidin Mosque, 7 faculty buildings in YSU, and other spots in the university.

The agenda continued to City Tour. Using YSU campus bus and accompanied by the tutors, the foreigners were invited to go around the city to get into some public places in Yogyakarta.
As a tutor in this occasion, Mutiara said “The route passed some places they would possibly visit in the future, namely hospital, bank, post office, several tourism destinations, and places for worship” .

In addition to following the routes, those foreign students were told about each place. Further, they were introduced with some signature things of Yogyakarta, one of which is Kopi Joss. “Kopi joss is hot black coffee added with charcoal,” she added.

Some of the students are aware of the importance of both agendas today. “Both are very significant to help us get in touch with YSU and Yogyakarta city”, as stated by one of the foreigners.
