Collaborative Design Program of YSU and Yamaguchi University

Again, the Department of Mechanical Engineering at YSU Faculty of Engineering is conducting a collaborative design program with Yamaguchi University, Japan. The program involves students from both universities. Started from October 20, the program will be conducted till November 4, 2014. Dr. Bruri Triyono, the dean of the Faculty of Engineering, officially opened this program at the faculty hall on Monday, October 20. Yamaguchi University delegation consists of two graduate students and three undergraduate students, who will be collaboratng with students from YSU Department of Mechanical Engineering.

“The collaboration between our universities has been conducted for the third time. We do hope that this program can pave the way for collaborative research, teaching staff and student exchanges, academic programs and trainings,” Bruri said.

Prof. Shigeyuki Haruyama expressed his high appreciation for YSU Faculty of Engineering for organising the collaboration programs. “This is the third time for us to organise the student collaboration program. Because we have successfully conducted this programs for several times, we will consider other collaboration plans.”

Dr. Mujiyono as the person in charge for this program explained the program further, “The students will work together to design electric bycycle for diffable, used oil-fired burner, and facuum frying to process fruit into chips.” (Yuliana)
