The Department of Sports Coaching Education (PKO) FIKK UNY has added another doctoral lecturer with the graduation of Dr. Christina Fajar Sriwahyuniati S.Pd., M.Or. recently at FKOR UNS and Dr. Ratna Budiarti S.Pd.Kor., M.Or. on Thursday, March 2, 2023, at FIKK UNY.

Dr. Christina Fajar Sriwahyuniati S.Pd., M.Or. pursued her doctoral studies at the Faculty of Sports, Sebelas Maret University (UNS) Surakarta with a dissertation entitled "Exercise Model to Improve Basic Movement Skills of Rhythmic Gymnastics Based on Coaching Games in Early Childhood (Development Study on Elementary School Children Age Group 6 - 8 Years in DIY). In the presence of the Board of Examiners consisting of Prof. Dr. Ir. Ahmad Yunus, M.S. (Chief Examiner), Prof. Dr. M. Furqon Hidayatullah, M.Pd. (Promoter), Prof. Dr. Siswantoyo, M.Kes., AIFO (Co-Promoter), Dr. Sapta Kunta Purnama, M.Pd. (Secretary/Co-Promoter), Prof. Dr. Tomoliyus, M.S. (Examiner), Prof. Dr. Sugiyanto (Examiner), and Dr. Fadilah Umar, M.Or. (Examiner), the dissertation can be defended well so that the doctoral degree in Sports Science can be achieved with a GPA of 3.95.

Three days later, Dr. Ratna Budiarti S.Pd.Kor., M.Or. also graduated from her doctoral program. The publication tracks the doctoral program she chose, producing articles with the target of publication in Scopus-indexed journals. Dissertation research promoted by Prof. Dr. Siswantoyo, M.Kes. AIFO. And Prof. Dr. Endang Rini Sukamti, M.S. was entitled "Development of Aerobic Gymnastics Talent Identification Test for National Development Category" in the examination session chaired by the Rector of UNY, Prof. Sumaryanto, M.Kes. AIFO, and tested by Dr. Lukas Maria Boleng, M.Kes., Prof. Dr. Wawan Sundawan Suherman, M.Ed., and Prof. Dr. Yudik Prasetyo, M.Kes. can be defended well, so the doctoral degree in Sports Science can be achieved with a GPA of 3.98.

With the graduation of both of them, currently, the number of Doctorate in the PKO Department is 11 lecturers and will increase along with the graduation of lecturers who are studying further. (Author: Sinta, Editor: Dedy, Translator :Rinjani)
