Tuesday (5/5/2015), Dr.-Ing. Satoto E.Nayono, M.Eng., M.Sc., the Director of the Office of International Affairs, welcomed two representatives of LPDP (Indonesia Endowment Fund for Education) in Senate Meeting Room of Yogyakarta State University Rectorate Building.The two representatives are Agung Sudaryono, the Deputy of LPDP Fund Development Division, and Rumtini, the Deputy of LPDP Educational Program Fund Distribution Division.
The representatives of the two institutions discussed the collaboration in joint selection for the prospective Affirmative awardees of LPDP scholarship.
“The meeting is essential because YSU is a service provider for either Regular or Affirmative LPDP awardees,” Dr.-Ing. Satoto E. Nayono, M.Eng., M.Sc. said.
So far, YSU has cooperated with LPDP in conducting the educational programs that is master and doctoral degrees for LPDP awardees and English training for Affirmative LPDP awardees. The first 2 batches of participants of the English training have been joining the training at the Center for Language Development of YSU (P2B).
“LPDP has been holding discussions on the collaboration with 29 Indonesian higher education institutions to conduct joint selection,” Agung Sudaryono said.
The discussion was attended by Prof. Parjono, Ph.D. (Assistant Director for Academic Affairs), Paidi, M.Si. (Expert Staff to the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs), Losina Purnastuti, Ph.D. (Expert Staff to the Vice Rector for Cooperation and Partnership Affairs) and Joko Priyana, Ph.D. (The Director of the Center of Language Development of YSU).
Agung Sudaryono said that the collaboration for the joint selection will involve YSU representatives in the selection. Parjono said that the Affirmative scholarship has certain academic requirements and selections as the consideration for accepting the awardees.
“The collaboration has been agreed by YSU and LPDP. Its detail will be placed in the agreement of the two institutions,” said Rumtini. .
Later on, the LPDP Affirmative awardees enrolled in YSU will attend English training and academic preparations in Graduate School of YSU.
