Employment Issue in Global Perspective 2022


Prof. Dr. phil. Steffen Kresten from Technicshe Universitat Dresden gave a public lecture at Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta(UNY) with the theme "Education System in Germany". In this activity, 35 participants attended the blended learning method.

In this activity, Prof. Dr. phil. Steffen Kersten said that the development of the world of education is swift. Germany implements three education systems: general education/general education, vocational education/vocational education, and engineering education/engineering education. However, every year, German universities only graduate a maximum of 22 vocational students, no more than that. This limitation is to maintain quality.

One of the strengths of the German economy so far lies in strong small and medium-sized industries/enterprises supported by the availability of skilled labor in sufficient quantity and quality, evenly distributed and standardized throughout Germany. This ideal situation can be achieved on an ongoing basis because it is supported by a dual vocational system implemented nationally.
