Encouraging the Improvement of the Human Resources Quality through Partnerships between UNY and the Pacitan Regency Government
The quality of human resources will provide multiplayer effects in various fields. This awareness is the bridge for Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) and the Pacitan Regency Government to formally sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on September 1, 2022.
"UNY is ready to cooperate with the Pacitan Regency Government, especially in education and human resource development. UNY consistently strives to build quality human resources. Therefore, at UNY, lecturers and administrative staff must continue their studies at the undergraduate level, S2, and even S3," said the Rector of UNY, Prof. Sumaryanto.
"We welcome the collaboration with UNY and hope that this collaboration can bring goodness and benefit UNY and the Pacitan Regency Government. However, the Pacitan Regency Government is aware that it still needs guidance from various parties for the good of Pacitan," said the Regent of Pacitan, Indrata Nur Bayuaji.
Through the signing of this MoU, UNY and the Pacitan Regency Government have the opportunity to carry out programs in education, research, community service, and resource development. Based on the experience of collaborating with other regions, UNY has succeeded in encouraging the improvement of human resources through the implementation of the Recognition of Past Learning (RPL) Program for village officials, helping poverty alleviation through fostered tourist villages (Khairani Faizah, Tj.Lak)
