Expedition to the Rengganis Land

The Hancala Team (Nature Lover Students at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences) are on their expedition to Baderan Village, Probolinggo District, East Java from May 20 to 30 2015. Before starting their expedition, they had their departure ceremony at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences. The ceremony was attended by Vice Dean for Student Affairs,, Suhandoyo, M.Si. The expedition is named “Ekspedisi Tanah Rengganis” (Expedition to the Rengganis Land).
The team members of the expedition are Muhammad Ashori (Natural Sciences Education), Fabri Hidayatullah (Mathematics Education), Farizal Dwi Januarta (Physics), Lintang Zia Nareswari (Chemistry), Ummi Nurbaiti (Natural Sciences Education), dan Arum Kanthi Nastiti (Chemistry). They have joined a month-preparation and their readiness to join the expedition has been great.
The expedition is designed to cover three activities that is mount climbing, research and community service.
“We hope that the activities conducted during the expedition will benefit the community in the target areas.” Suhandoyo also emphasized the need for the team to effectively conduct the activities.
The team advisor, Eko Widodo, then symbolically started the expedition by handing the expedition flag to the team leader.
