Last Tuesday (5/9) was the first day of Student Formula Japan (SFJ) competition. Recorded 98 teams from eight countries to register in Ecopa Stadium, Shizouka Perfecture, Japan. The teams that managed to escape immediately made preparations for the first event, namely Technical Inspection (TI). IT is an important event because the jury will conduct a direct inspection of the vehicle by checking the suitability of the vehicle with the specified regulation. Garuda UNY with FG-17 formula cars look nimble with successfully complete the IT process in one day only. It is certainly worth appreciating considering the first day of IT there are only 30% of the team that escaped, while the rest must make improvements again to pass this stage.
After passing IT, each team will undergo scrutineering process, namely Tilt Test, Weigh, Noise and Brake Test.
"Alhamdulilah, this morning (6/9) scrutineering process successfully performed well," said Teguh, chairman of Garuda UNY.
With the success of the process of IT and scrutineering, Garuda UNY team is now preparing to do the next activity that is presentation of cost report, business logic plan, and design report.
