The Faculty of Language, Arts, and Culture UNY began the process of reviewing the curriculum of the English Education Study Program at the Bachelor and Master levels with a strong emphasis on the needs of stakeholders and the World of Business and Industry (DUDI). The collaboration involved two experts, Professor Jeanette G. Dials, Ed.D. from Mariano Marcos State University (MMSU), Philippines, and Dr. Ibrar Bhatt from Queen's University Belfast, United Kingdom, to ensure the relevance and quality of graduates.

"We must ensure that the curriculum not only meets academic standards, but is also responsive to the needs of the world of work. Collaboration with industry stakeholders is key to achieving this," said Professor Jeanette G. Dials, Ed.D. from Mariano Marcos State University (MMSU), Philippines.

Dr. Bhatt added, "Today we see great opportunities to integrate best practices from industry into the curriculum, such as the use of technology in learning, internships in related companies, and collaborative projects between students and industry practitioners."

This move marks the commitment of UNY's Faculty of Language, Arts, and Culture to continuously improve the quality of English education and ensure that their graduates are ready to face real-world challenges. It is hoped that this curriculum review will create graduates who are qualified and ready to compete in an increasingly complex global job market. (Writer: Haryo, Editor: Dedy, Tj.Lak)
