Information Session on Studying at the Ohio State University With Dr. David Stein

Office of International Affairs and Partnership of YSU held an Information Session on Studying at the Ohio State University (OSU) on Wednesday (13/5/2015) in the Auditorium of the Faculty of Economic of YSU. It invited Dr. David Stein, an Associate Professor of Workforce Development and Education of Ohio State University and was participated by 83 participants.
“The two important aspects on the selection of OSU’s prospective graduate students are GPA (Grade Point Average) and English Proficiency proven by Toefl IBT certificate. It is better to prepare from now,” David said.
During the session, Dr. David Stein tried to interact with the participants by having a question and answer session about study programs, scholarship, correspondence with the lecturers, and contact information in Ohio State University through USINTEC, a consortium of 15 top-ranking state universities in the U.S. and Indonesia and a Southeast Asian regional center for open and distance learning.
The participants asked numerous questions in this session suh as the study programs in OSU, the strategy to enroll at a program in OSU with the current insufficient English proficiency, application and selection description of master and doctoral programs in OSU and application periods
The Affirmation program awardees of Indonesian Endowment Fund for Education Scholarship saw this as a big chance to establish a contact with Dr. David Stein, whereas the other participants were more eager to get a scholarship to study at OSU.
