A Lecturer from the University of Malaya Presented Physical Exercise in the Faculty of Sport Sciences, YSU
Monday, (11/4th/2103), the Sport Coaching study program of Yogyakarta State University held a guest lecturing program presenting Dr. Lim Boon Hooi, Vice Dean for Academic Affairs of the Faculty of Sport Sciences, University of Malaya. Participating in the program were students, lectures, and leaders of the Faculty of Sport Sciences. This program was the second guest lecturing held in the Faculty this year, after the first one delivered by a sport sciences practitioner from USA.
Being relevant to the issue addressed in the lecture, this expert of physical fitness shared the actions taken by Malaysian government to facilitate athletes and provide sport centers across the nation. In his lecture, integrated services for athletes, functional exercises, and two important aspects of providing sport centers such as budget and maintenance were discussed.
In the question and answer session, the participants actively responded to the chance given to raise questions. The students and lectures were also interested in the issues of physical exercise, especially functional exercise and the Malaysian government public sport program. In his visit, he would be giving lectures to Sport Sciences students in four days during the week. (yla)
