Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences of UNY welcomed a visit from Universitas Muhammadiyah Prof. Dr. Hamka (UHAMKA) on 17 February 2020. The Dean of Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Prof. Dr. Ariswan, M.Sc., DEA said that accepting visits from other institutions is part of institutional service and UNY prepared to share any needed information. “We can discuss further on how to develop institution,” Ariswan said.

At present, UNY is intensively heading towards the World Class University.  One of the efforts is by increasing the number of research article that accepted in indexed Scopus Journal.

“It is right for you to have a visit at UNY Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences. UNY together with Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia and Universitas Negeri Malang has been nationally recognized on the field of mathematics and natural sciences. We are open to possible opportunity for research collaboration, seminar and any possible cooperation,” he said.

The delegation from UHAMKA consist of management and lecturers from department of Biology and Physics. The visit was expected to help department of Biology and Physics at UHAMKA to develop in quality. UHAMKA delegation had sufficient time for academic discussion followed by visit on UNY biology and physics laboratories.(witono;Tj.Lak)
