Sayidah presented her innovative idea of Low Vision Desk for low vision students which was triggered from the absence of the supporting facilities for them. She presented a concept about a technology- based desk for low vision students.
The presentation was held in YSU Hotel, Thursday (16/4/2015). Sayidah’s Low Vision Desk has succesfully gained high scores from the juries. As a Special Education student, Sayidah is interested in dissability issues. Her interest dragged her to write numerous papers which mostly talk about dissability issue.
She has been actively involved in Research Student Activity Unit (UKM) as well as being a volunteer in Jingga School. In Jingga, Sayidah sharpens her leadership by learning about non-formal education through AAM (Academic, Arts and Moral) curriculum.
“It is not easy to be the Outstanding Student of this university. It is tiring but I believe that efforts bever betray results,” she said. Now, she is preparing for the big fifteen selection of the National Outstanding Student in Jakarta. (Zidnie Ilma)
