Bondan Prakoso together with Rizal Justian Setiawan as the delegations from Yogyakarta State University (YSU) in the National High Achievers 2016 successfully The Best II of National Student Achievers for undergraduate and diploma degrees. The success that coincided with the celebration of Indonesian Independence Day was a high achievement that earns YSU a good reputation.

The National Selection of High Achievers is an annual prestigious event organized by the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education. This year, 16 undergraduates and 15 diploma degree students were selected and had been through long stages, starting from the selection at the respective department, faculty, university, until recently stated qualify as national finalists. Assessments included documents of GPA and achievements awards, English test, psychological test, interview, and selection of scientific papers. All assessments were very tight that the finalists must pass each stage.

Bondan Prakoso, a student from Automotive Engineering Education year 2012 indeed is the Leader of Garuda UNY Racing Team that certainly has been well known in his Faculty. Bondan, who will again compete in Student Formula Japan this September, along with Garuda UNY has constituted many achievements in international scale that becomes his ‘weapons’ to battle in National Selection of High Achievers. One of the achievements is becoming the Winner of Endurance Award Hybrid Vehicle at the Formula Student class series of South Korea. Bondan advanced to the next selection with the scientific paper entitled " Taser Anchor Model to Improve the Safety of Passengers from Car Accidents". To join such selection, he defered his graduation, when all the requirements have already been fulfilled. "In the interest of the nation and the country, I chose to postpone my graduation," he said.

Rizal justian setiawan, a student of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering recently managed to get the Gold Medal at the World Invention Innovation Contest (WICC) South Korea, 2016 , advanced to the National Selection of High Achievers 2016. He was respected for international and National-level reputations, one of which was a champion at the 1st International Engineering Invention Innovation Exhibition (I-ENVEX) 2016 in Malaysia. On the scientific papers selection, his work was entitled "EF BOAT (ECO-FRIENDLY BOAT)". Rizal who was derived from East Kalimantan was self-assured to continue making achievements in both academic and non-academic levels. (Rizal)
