A Student Of Yogyakarta State University Presents Solution Chemistry In Kyoto, Japan

Ika Nur Fitriani, a student of the Chemistry Education Department of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences of Yogyakarta State University, presented her paper in the 33rd International Conference on Solution Chemistry in Kyoto, Japan. This conference is held every two years and this time in Japan by the Japan Association of Solution Chemistry supported by the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry (IUPAC). Attended by researchers, academicians, practitioners, and professionals in the field of science from Indonesia, Australia, France, US, People’s Republic of China, Taipei, etc., the conference was not only for professionals but also students.

In this conference, Ika presented her paper entitled “Red Ginger Rhizome Extract as Herbal Deodorant Materials. This paper will be published in the Journal of Solution Chemistry in March next year together with the other ones.

“I learned a lot from both oral and poster sessions. I could find out more about solution chemistry in many countries around the world. In fact, we won’t learn many of the presented instruments at school,” she said.
